1.     What is Trulioo?

Trulioo is the web’s first community based global identity and age verification service.  Your friends and family help you to create an online I.D. that you can use to prove that you are who you say you are on the web without exposing your private information.

2.     What can Trulioo be used for?

The Trulioo online I.D. can be used anywhere on the web that you need to prove who you are, or build trust.  This might include online dating websites, special interest communities and forums, adult only websites, job application websites and social networking websites.  We even have the ability to enable search engines to filter out adult content from children anywhere in the world.

3.     What does it cost?

Unlike other Identity Verification services on the web, Trulioo is completely FREE for individuals to use.

4.     How do I get Trulioo?

Trulioo is currently available to Facebook and Myspace users, but will soon be available to other social networking website users such as Orkut, Bebo, Hi5 and many others.  To get Trulioo for Facebook and Myspace users, click here and signup.

5.     Do I need to do anything special to get Trulioo?

All you need to get the Trulioo online I.D. is a social networking website account and your friends and family.  Unlike other identity verification services on the web, you will not need to fax, email or mail us copies of your passport, birth certificate or driver’s license etc.

6.     How does the Trulioo Community Identity Verification service work?

Trulioo is a web and social networking application that you use to ask your friends and family to confirm certain information about you that they know to be true.  This information might include your name, age, location, what you look like or even what you do for a living.  You can then share their anonymous responses with anyone you choose over the web via a secure link to your online I.D.  You control what information people or websites see on your I.D.

7.     Can Trulioo be used to confirm my age in order to access certain websites?

You can use your online I.D. to confirm your age to individual people over the web.  Soon you will also be able to authorize websites or businesses of your choosing to automatically confirm your age with Trulioo anonymously; however this option is not available yet.

8.     How is my information verified by Trulioo?

The information on your online I.D. is verified by the people that know you best, your friends and family.  Trulioo has built-in security features to ensure that anyone you ask to verify your identity is legitimate.

9.     How is my identity information used by Trulioo?

We will only share information about you with people or firms that you directly authorize.  You can remove or revoke your authorization, or delete your online I.D. at any time.

10.    How do I manage my Trulioo profile?

You can access your Trulioo profile by visiting Truloo.com and selecting the My Account link.

11.  Can I use my Trulioo I.D. with my exisiting online account?

If you use Google, Windows Live, Yahoo or OpenID you can associate your Trulioo online I.D. with your account at one of these providers.  This enables any website that supports login with of these providers to verify your identity.  This feature is not yet availible, but is coming soon.
